My background

How I got here.

I hold an MBA in International Management from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Information Technology from the Université de Sherbrooke. My career started in client service roles within the federal government, where I spent 30 years learning how to understand what people actually need, navigate the gap between expectations and delivery, and build consistent service experiences at scale.

Alongside that career, I built an ecommerce business selling eco-friendly bath and body products. It was a deliberate move to apply everything my MBA taught me in an environment where the results were entirely my own. That business taught me how to build systems that run without constant intervention.

When my family bought a property closer to loved ones, I launched it as a short-term rental rather than let it sit empty. I manage it remotely from two hours away. That experience of building a hosting system that works without me being present is exactly what I teach at Confident Hosts.

Every host I work with starts by identifying the right guest for their specific property and location. Not a generic guest. The exact type of guest that fits what the property offers and where it sits. This step comes first because it changes everything that follows.

We move into the Listing Clarity Lab and rebuild the listing around that guest so the right people find it, understand it immediately, and book with confidence. A clear listing attracts better-fit guests, which reduces friction across every part of hosting.

Once the listing is aligned, we extend that clarity into communication templates, house rules, turnover checklists, and the physical environment itself. When every piece is built around the same guest, the system runs with far less effort from you.
